Welcome to Speech Path Tech!

We have been around for a hot minute, lurking in the shadows, learning everything we can to better support Speech Pathologists and the clients who need us.

We have been a small Aussie owned business (just one speechie and one assistant) for the past 6 years. We've seen trends come and go — but a few years ago an uncomfortable trend hit us. Small businesses like ours were closing because the cost of running our tiny enterprises was becoming too much.

We saw more clients, that burnt us out — we felt so much pressure and uncertainty, which we weren't expecting to happen in a healthcare career.

Still, the waitlists grew and the administrative side became more challenging.

Finally after some difficult life challenges, a very unwell family member and pre eclampsia. Our business model was set to change again.

I wondered, since our profession is 98% female, with the average age of 38, SURELY this problem — (being everything to everyone, the organiser, the caregiver, the nurse, the mother, the illnesses, the financial pressure) — is quite common for women like us? Where do we go in tough times to make sure we can keep the lights on and minimise those crazy waitlists?!

Thus, Speech Path Tech was born!

Here's what we have been cooking up behind the scenes for the past few years (yes, it's taken nearly 2 years!)

Firstly the BIG one. This is huge. We are launching in October and can't wait to show you.

It does everything for you from client matching, to bookings, your own online speech room, messaging and invoicing. It even takes payments from eligible clients straight through the platform. It has simplified NDIS documentation and tracking (if/when we need it), speech games, workspaces, AHA provision and more.

You can see clients through it at any time that suits you — just set your availability.

We have already industry partnered with two Australian Universities to explore how we can improve the placement experience with this technology.

We made it for you. Use it to minimise the waitlists by using it as a triage system. Use it to run a whole clinic. Use it to help out financially at home. It's up to you.

We don't employ you — you take the reigns yourself with everything from clients to policies and procedures baked in.
